Microsoft, led by Satya Nadella, is reportedly planning not to provide any salary hikes this year. The company is also reducing its budget for bonuses and stock awards, according to a report. Nadella mentioned this in an internal email, citing the economic conditions this year being very different from last year. While the company has not confirmed this news, some employees have expressed their discontent on social media. One of them stated that Microsoft is not providing salary increases for non-hourly workers, which has caused them to reconsider taking on extra projects.

Earlier this year, Microsoft announced that it will be laying off close to 10,000 employees.
